3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Imaging is only available in about half of dental offices in the United States today. We are proud to offer this technology to our patients. CBCT is a specialized form of dental imaging that provides a high-resolution, three-dimensional view of the teeth, jawbone, TMJ, airway, and surrounding structures. This technology allows our dental team to plan and deliver treatment with exceptional accuracy.

CBCT is often recommended for:

  • Dental implant planning
  • Impacted teeth / wisdom teeth evaluation
  • Endodontic (root canal) diagnosis
  • Jaw pathology or infection evaluation
  • Orthodontic and airway assessment

Comfort & Safety:

A CBCT scan is non-invasive and typically completed in less than a minute. Our office uses CBCT only when clinically necessary and follows established imaging guidelines to keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.

CBCT FAQ:

Does a CBCT scan hurt?

No. A CBCT scan is completely painless and does not touch you. You’ll simply stand or sit still while the scanner rotates around your head.

Why do I need this instead of a regular X‑ray?

Traditional dental X-rays are 2D images. In some cases, structures overlap and important details can be hidden. CBCT provides a 3D view that helps us diagnose conditions more accurately and plan treatment more safely.

Is it safe?

Yes. CBCT uses a low-dose form of dental imaging, and our team only recommends it when the added detail improves diagnosis, safety, or treatment outcomes.
